Java Software Engineers- 100% REMOTE, M&S

We are currently looking for Java Software Engineers to join our Global Centre in Pilsen - one of our six Global Development Centres specializing in banking software managing transactions and ATMs worldwide. In fact, we are responsible for 33% of the ATMs worldwide!

Diebold Nixdorf is a world-leading ATM producer and our Pilsen office (established in 2015) specializes exclusively in software development. Thanks to our talented colleagues just in a few years’ time the small office became the most important fintech company in the Pilsen region. Our vision is to continue growing and acquire other interesting strategic projects.

As a Java Software Engineer, you will join a new and growing team of 4 software engineers who are responsible for our monitoring system for ATMs or POS devices. The software solution consists of several parts: at the moment we are looking for engineers that will be looking either after its front end or back end components.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering solutions according to requirements
  • Investigating, analyzing and fixing defects located in the existing solution
  • Communicating progress with other team members and QA
  • Responsibility for a subpart of product
  • Mentoring developers on junior positions

Must have:

  • At least three years of experience in professional programming in Java
  • Java EE
  • SQL
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • English (at least B2 level)
  • desire to learn is general needed

On top of it the following are nice to have:

  • Experience with microservices
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Experience with PCI/DSS topic and certificate
  • Experience in working in an agile environment (e.g. Scrum)
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Git
